The district now serves more than 10,000 students and 10 communities—Minnetonka, Chanhassen, Deephaven, Eden Prairie, Excelsior, Greenwood, Shorewood, Tonka Bay, Victoria and Woodland—with a preschool, six elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school. Minnetonka is one of the state’s most sought-after school districts for open enrollment, with about 3,000 nonresident students.

Minnetonka High School
Minnetonka High School (MHS) is a high-performing high school serving students in grades 9 through 12. Located in a suburban, one-high-school community, MHS is the flagship of the Minnetonka School District, recognized as a district of excellence by the United States Department of Education.
Ranked #7 for high schools in MN. Total enrollment is at 3,013 with a 20:1 student to teacher ratio.

Minnetonka Middle Schools
Minnetonka Middle School East and Minnetonka Middle School West school boundaries align with elementary school boundaries. Deephaven, Groveland and Scenic Heights Elementary students will attend Minnetonka Middle School East. Clear Springs, Excelsior and Minnewashta Elementary students will attend Minnetonka Middle School West.
